Web service based on Remote FM not working

Hi guys,

I'm new to SOA and I'm trying to create a web service on top of remote enabled BW function module so that I can execute it from a Xcelsius Dashboard.

The FM is quite simple, it just writes a record into a database table based on input parameters received from the dashboard.

Let's not even come to the dashboard for now, the thing is that when I run it from wsnavigator, looks like the service is invoked successfully but the underlying ABAP does not run.

If I try to run the web service using Java stack it fails:
