Well, if you have the "Connectivity part" of your scenarion already figgured out, then this is probably the wrong forum for your question... 
People here will be able to give tips about RFC connectivity, but will probably not know how to trigger events in an R/3 system?! Perhaps a better place would be the ABAP Platform Developer Center?!
